Alexia presented her first collection in 2002 and her current Autumn/Winter 08/09 collection is now stocked many of the top boutiques in the UK such as Koh’ Samui on Monmouth Street, Press in Primrose Hill and St Johns Wood, Fenwick in Bond Street, Bernard of Esher, Aqua in Leeds and Hull and Roberta in Bournemouth.
Alexia is “forward fashion” personified. Her growing success is built on a core clientele who recognised her talent when, fresh out of St. Martins, she began customising shoes, belts and jeans for David and Victoria Beckham, Geri Halliwell, Ms. Dynamite, Kelis and DJ Rapp.
Alexia could barely keep up with demand and at one point, at his special request, she was customising two pairs of Adidas trainers a week for David Beckham. Soon after, her uniquely decorated own-label jeans made the cover of Vogue for the celebrated Best of British feature, photographed by Mario Testino which was also featured in the National Portrait Gallery.
In 2005 Alexia created her now famous classic glitz scarf, it’s success due to the fact that it is a style that can be worn by all ages. She has continued to develop her designs and now presents her Autumn/Winter collection full of rich, dark, deep tones with a flash of sparkle keeping that edgy feel which is the Alexia label.
